IIT geeks form political party

"Seems like Mani Rathnam’s Yuva is getting off the reels. Five IITians, all in their 20s, have decided to take up mainstream politics. The youths, based in Jodhpur are campaigning for their national party, “ Paritrana’’ , which was launched in Jodhpur on 20TH JANUARY(do i have a bad memory). The core team of “Paritrana’ ’ comprises Rajpurohit , Shukla, Amit Beesen, also the vice president and a B Tech (Mechanical) from IIT Bombay and a LLB graduate, Chandrashekhar (national treasurer), B Tech (computer science) from IIT Kanpur, Bharat Sundaram, the PRO of the party and B Tech from IIT Kanpur and PhD in electronics from Melbourne. “Paritrana means complete relief from the various causes of distress, and that is what we want to do for our people,’’ added Chandrashekhar. Low funds have not discouraged them in their efforts of holding door-to-door campaigns in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and parts of Maharashtra."

This is awesome as these guys have decided to throw out the pollution in the system. Whilst this is indeed a great step and I applaud it, but the burning question is will they be able to sustain on the values what they are promoting. Its hard to lay down a different path but its harder to follow and hardest to excel. My aim is not to discourage these guys but to remind them of the challenges they will be facing when they will be moving on their chosen path and there could be numerous lucrative or horrifying events which could make them move from their path.

I look forward to a political party that can change some things in India - mainly, get rid of corruption, infuse new ideologies and infuse entrepreneurship in the young generation.

Its not new that any IITian has entered politics, we have a bunch of examples. But nothing much has really been achieved. I am not trying to comment on anyone. I love my Country and want it to be the best. I will go and praise every step which is done for its betterment and try to contribute as much as i can. To know more about this party visit
http://www.paritrana.org/ They have an online membership too, incase anybody is interested. Gandhiji also said something on the similar lines, let those lines be for you

"When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murders, and for a time they may seem invincible, but in the end they always fall, always."

Best of luck friends. This will be done sooner or later, if not by you then might be by someone else. I'll definitely want you guys to be the one coming out as winners and "Sutradhaar" of a developed and honest india.
